Through this session, you will:
- Gain an in-depth understanding of the principles and techniques for conducting common PFT modalities, such as spirometry, lung volume assessment, and diffusion capacity measurement.
- Develop hands-on proficiency in operating PFT equipment and administering accurate tests according to standardized guidelines.
- Learn to interpret PFT results and recognize patterns indicative of different respiratory disorders, including obstructive, restrictive, and mixed lung diseases.
- Identify potential sources of error and troubleshoot common artifacts in PFT data collection and analysis.
- Integrate PFT findings with clinical history and other diagnostic data to formulate appropriate differential diagnoses and management plans.
